Delta 9 and Delta 8 are both THC cannabinoids and are extremely similar in structure and effects. Delta 8 is so prominent right now in the cannabis industry because Delta-9 THC is written in the law as federally illegal. Isolating the Delta-8 cannabinoid in hemp plants is a way to get around the regulations, and it has become the new wave of cannabis consumption in non-legal states.
Delta-9 is written in the law as illegal in concentrations at more than 0.3% by weight. So, if an edible weighs 10 grams, it can have 30 milligrams of D9 THC.
So, if they’re similar yet different, how do you navigate the dosages?
The Delta-9 is a bit more potent than Delta-8 but in its own way. The effects of Delta-8 don’t last as long as the effects of Delta-9. Delta-8 comes on faster, while Delta-9 comes on at a steady rate. Delta-9 is described as having more uplifting and euphoric effects, while Delta-8 is known for “couch-locking” and indica-like effects. In mild doses, this makes Delta-9 perfect for people that want to dose in the daytime (great for minimizing pain and anxiety), and in larger doses, great for getting stoned and watching Animal Planet. It’s the best of both worlds!
Our Delta-8 dosages are: 10mg, 25mg, and 50mg.
Our Delta-9 dosages are: 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg.
